As an Orchestra, we are keen to work with the city of Exeter, and the wider area, to promote classical music 'for all' and, in particular, participation in live music events.

We have worked with a number of local Primary Schools, specifically supporting their participation in the BBC Ten Pieces initiative.

Alongside this, in 2015 we were delighted to work with Da Capo String Ensemble (pictured opposite with our Musical Director, Brian Northcott). Da Capo joined us in July to perform the Vaughan Williams Concerto Grosso. Sarah Greinig, who runs Da Capo, commented: "The collaboration with ESO for the Vaughan Williams Concerto Grosso is a first for Da Capo, who have been increasingly excited since beginning their preparations last Autumn".

More generally, we would always encourage anybody and everybody to get in touch with us if they have an idea about how ESO can engage with local groups.

News Update - we hold String Workshops, often attended by both ESO members and also non-members. These have been a great success and do keep an eye out for similar events in the future. Or, if you have any ideas about how ESO can get more involved in local community groups - drop me a line.
