Below is part of an e-mail I sent out to previous players and attached is a Registration form.

As always it will be very mixed music:

Dawn for Zarrathustra; Stabat Mater (Jenkins), 1812 overture (start and end...), Policeman's chorus from Pirates of Penzance, Lacrimosa (Mozart), Dies Irae (Verdi),  Rhythm of Life....

And we'll make the second half a Last Night of the Proms with Shanties, Pomp, I vow to thee....

We are delighted that so many of you are planning to come to St. David's, Cardiff.

Indeed many are saying they are going to make a weekend of it and are booking hotel rooms already!

So we feel that we need to start signing up straightaway.

We are therefore inviting previous performers to send back Registration Forms NOW.

We can accommodate a few more players, and many more singers, so shortly will be advertising the event in South Wales – male voice choirs, and so forth.... - so that we fill the Hall.

So do please register to sing or play as soon as possible and ensure your place.

As you know, St David's wish to issue Audience Tickets. These will still be FREE, but people must get them in advance from the Box Office or on-line.

They will be available from early October.

Later on we will be advertising the event for audience in the local press and media so do make sure your family and friends get their tickets.

The launch of Exeter Youth Flutes!
Exeter Youth Flutes is an exciting new ensemble for flautists aged 8 - 18. The musical director and founder of Exeter Youth Flutes is Ruth Molins. Ruth has over ten years’ experience of teaching the flute and coaching ensembles in the South West. The mission of EYF is to be a welcoming flute ensemble for young flute players in Exeter and the locality, providing a quality, musical experience with regular rehearsals and performance opportunities. The first rehearsal is on Tuesday 4th October. This term we look forward to collaborating with The Big Noise Chorus for a Christmas concert, as well as our own EYF Christmas concert.
When: Every Tuesday, 5 – 6pm
Where: 37 Clifton Road, EX1 2BN
Cost: £45 for the term (10 rehearsals plus performance opportunities)
