Concert in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund.
This will be our third concert for the ABF and it is a great pleasure for Exeter's Symphony orchestra to have a fine concert to perform in the Cathedral, and also know that it is helping such a good cause.
The programme has a wide variety of music to enjoy, and amongst the pieces we will be playing are:-
Zadok the Priest - Handel. The Lark Ascending - Vaughan -Williams with soloist Sophie Rosa.
Jesu joy of Man's Desiring - Bach. The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves - Verdi, and Elizabethan Serenade - Ronald Binge.
Our lead trumpeter Myles Taylor will also be taking a starring role in the Elegy for trumpet and organ - George Thalben-Ball.
National Anthem - arr. Benjamin Britten.
